Exchanger

An Exchanger is intended for situations where communications interface conversion is needed
in a permanent installation. They can provide clocking, and serve well as modem eliminators
and line drivers. Nine models (listed below) are available from ADVICE.

Applications

• Convert between V.35, RS232, RS530, and RS449
• Extend range of RS232 by converting to differential signal
• Provide clocking in DTE to DTE null-modem configuration
• Provide protection between two devices
• Regenerate data and control signals

• Selectable internal clock 16kbps to 2.048Mbps in 8k steps (RS232 is limited to 128kbps)
